今月、Johnny Stimsonのニューアルバム『Butterflies』が配信になったので彼の好きな曲を翻訳してみました。まだニューアルバムは聴き込んでいる最中なので、一番好きな曲を見つけたら訳したいです。このニューアルバム、個人的に神アルバムで、リリースされてからずっと聴いてます。(はい、昨日まで本当にずっと聴いていました。昨日HONNEのニューリリースがきてしまったので、今朝はそちらを聴いてみました)
今回のニューアルバムですが、一曲目のButterfliesが最高なのはもう置いておいて(?)、そこからPrincess Peach, Wishyouwerehereのような遊び心のある曲に流れていく感じが私のど真ん中です…!アルバム最後の曲の”Joanie’s Lullaby”も音色が優しくて好きです。
ちなみに今回訳した”Casual”は個人的にJeff Bernatも好きなので、Jeffのパートの歌詞を訳しながら、この歌詞、Jeffみがすごい！と思ったりしました。(JeffのJust Vibeを思い出したのは私だけではないはず!)
この曲のアコースティックは更にチルが増して最高なのと、Johnnyの高音が素晴らしいので是非見てみてください！動いてるJeffを久々に見ました。相変わらず見た目と甘い声のギャップがすごいですw JeffとJohnnyのハモリが..1万イイネ押したい気持ちです。
